Corvias Partnership Development Expert Eisenacher on Schools
Public-Private Partnerships

RALEIGH, N.C.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As school systems across the United States consider public-private
partnerships to solve their vision with limited funding, partnership
development expert Geoff
Eisenacher
of Corvias
provided leadership guidance and market analysis at the Carolinas Annual
Student Housing Forum. With a focus on North Carolina, South Carolina,
Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and Georgia markets, the forum was hosted
at North Carolina State University and brought together leading public
and private sector executives with commercial real estate and academic
housing leaders.

Eisenacher, a Vice President of Partnership Development with Corvias,
shared expertise about P3s between academic institutions and third-party
developers, including:

  • North Carolina’s P3 landscape and how the use of strategic P3s in the
Carolinas and Mid-Atlantic is catching up with other states and
    regions;
  • The schedule and process by which schools prepare and evaluate the use
    and implementation of P3s;
  • The various priorities and objectives an institution must consider
when embarking on a P3; and,
  • How P3s have evolved beyond student housing and now include parking,
retail, academic space, athletic facilities, and utilities.

“With more than a dozen university partnerships, Corvias is in a unique
position to talk about what works and why,” said Eisenacher. “We
customize each P3 to the school’s needs and performance metrics, and
because we invest and finance, we can expedite delivery of improvements,
added capacity and stable long-term operations sooner than other
methods. Our partnerships are tools for value creation and financial
sustainability, which provide significant benefits.”

Corvias designs, builds, finances, operates, maintains and manages
residence life programs for all types of student populations and
currently partners with 14 higher education institutions across the
country.

Corvias partnerships are tailored to each individual institution, and
the Corvias approach allows institutions to maintain ownership of their
assets and receive 100% of all residual cash flows. The goal of all
partnerships is to help drive sustainable change, improving campus
operations while also enriching the lives of the thousands of students,
professors and other professionals in the academic community.
