Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. Acquires Golden Specialty, Inc.

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Montrose Environmental Group, Inc. (“Montrose”) is pleased to announce
that on March 15, 2019, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Enthalpy
Analytical, LLC (“Enthalpy”), it acquired the business of Golden
Specialty, Inc., a leading air testing laboratory in Houston, Texas. The
addition of this laboratory further advances Montrose’s air measurement
and analytical capabilities. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Golden Specialty, Inc. (“Golden”) has serviced Texas and the surrounding
gulf coast region for more than 20 years. Its extensive expertise in the
state and federal analytical methods to address regulatory requirements
has allowed Golden to grow into the largest air testing laboratory in
the Houston area.

“This acquisition supports our strategy to find companies that align
with our values and expand our laboratory offerings into new geographic
markets,” said Steve Eckard, Executive Vice President of Enthalpy.
“Golden is a great fit and they bring a talented team with expertise
that will allow us to be more responsive to the needs of our Gulf Coast

Golden’s laboratory division was established in 2003 by air testing
professionals capitalizing on the need for better analytical services to
support Gulf Coast air testers and industrial facilities.
