Dr. Richard M. Berlin’s poem “Eye Contact” is selected by the
Hippocrates Society for Poetry and Medicine

CRANBURY, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Psychiatric Times®, the No. 1 multimedia platform for
psychiatrists in the United States, announces that its poem “Eye
Contact,” of the monthly Poetry of the Times column, received a
commendation in the 2019 International Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and
Medicine in the Health Professional category.

Corporis Fabrica, the first comprehensive textbook on
anatomy that revolutionized medicine’s understanding of the human body.
Dr. Berlin has previously received the Pearl Poetry Prize, the Pushcart
Prize, the John Ciardi Poetry Prize, and best poetry book by USA Book
News.

The 2019 Hippocrates Poetry Award winners were announced at the 10th
annual International Symposium on Poetry and Medicine on May 17 at the
Life Science Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK.
